We collect personal information that you submit through: contact and inquiry forms (name, email, message); checkout forms (first name, last name, email, phone, country); project intake forms after purchase; and source documents submitted for translation.
When you submit medical records or healthcare documents for translation, those documents may contain protected health information (PHI). See Section 5 on healthcare data handling.
Standard server logs including IP address, browser type, page visited, and access time, collected for security and diagnostic purposes.
We do not collect or store payment card details. All payment processing is handled by Stripe on their servers. We receive a payment confirmation reference only.
We use your information to process and fulfill translation orders, respond to project inquiries, communicate about active projects, assign work to qualified translators, and comply with legal requirements. We do not use your information for third-party marketing.
We do not sell personal information.
For healthcare providers submitting patient-identified documents, we operate as a Business Associate under HIPAA. We sign a Business Associate Agreement (BAA) before processing any protected health information. All translators handling PHI are under confidentiality agreements. PHI is used only for the specific translation task and handled under our security protocol.
We use browser localStorage to store your cookie consent preference under the key tc_cookie_ok. This data stays in your browser and is not transmitted to our servers. See our Cookie Policy.
Contact inquiries: 2 years. Project files and correspondence: 3 years post-project. Financial records: 7 years per US tax requirements. Patient-identified healthcare data: per HIPAA minimum necessary standard.
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data we hold about you. Email care@translatecare.com. We respond within 30 days. Deletion requests are subject to applicable legal retention requirements.
We do not sell personal information as defined under CCPA. California residents may contact us for disclosure requests.
We implement reasonable security measures for all data. No internet transmission is 100% secure. Contact us immediately if you believe your data has been compromised.
Our services are intended for individuals 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
We may update this Policy periodically. The date at the top reflects the latest revision.
